Kmail: Unread count still shows (1)

Thats what i normally do but it doesn;t change it in this case.

I might have found a clue as to when it happens.  I opened kmail today and it already had 4 unread emails in it before it did a check mail (they arrived when i didn;t have kmail loaded last night as i remember seeing some notifications). The check mail happened (unread count went up to 41) and then I applied the filter and the count went back to 4 unread when the inbox was empty.  I'll keep an eye on this scenario and see if its always the case.
