Hmm. Strange. It seems that your Akonadi didn't even look for the conf 
file since there are no stat() calls in the trace.

What version of KMail/Akonadi are you using?

I'm using

# kmail --version
Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.9
KMail: 4.14.9

# akonadictl --version
Akonadi 1.13.0
