Hmmm, I just tried again. And it works now.

So maybe Nepomuk just did some background reorganizing of the data?

Well, for me it seems to work now. I get results from files. Text files, PDF 
files.

Well, after some more attempts I got an idea what happens here: If there are 
many Akonadi results, you do not see the file based results in the list in Alt-
F2 anymore. With a generic word like "Linux" I only see Akonadi stuff, with a 
less generic word I see stuff from my files. So seems sort order has changed and 
if result view is limited to some 20 results, I only see Akonadi stuff.

Can you confirm that? Would be useful data for bug report.
