I had a huge amount of problem with kmail, kaddressbook mostly, after the
upgrade to v 2.

By now, they have mostly gone - Filtering works, address completion works, and
, no more mail loss, difficulties displaying mails... Few issues remain.

At one point, I gave up, and uninstalled kmail entirely, and used Thunderbird
for a while, but I am really more happy with kdepim applications, which I
reinstalled with kde 4.10 iirc.

I switched to IMAP mail, and during all my time with kmail 2, I was NOT able
to make it work with pop3 mail. I know some have had more luck there, though.

I recreated all my resources - mail accounts and addressbooks - a few times
before akonadi got everything right.

You do not state the KDE version you are using, or your exact issues. But
there have been so many issues discussed here, so if you do, someone may be
able to help with details.

I hope you solve it quickly!
