Actually, I've found that's not quite true!

It seems one has to realise that (w.r.t. to 'To' and 'From') when it
says "contains" it really means (in 4.8.2)  "contains the component".

For example, if you have been sending to "fredsmith at somewhere", then
if you ask Find Messages to look in Sent-mail for messages whose 'To'
field contain "fredsmith", it *will* find them, but not if you simply
quote e.g. "freds".
