[kdepim-users] Can't send emails

Hi,

I was looking at the configuration of one of my accounts and noticed an
account "Local folders" which I had never seen before (I have been using
kmail for more than a decade).

I also had recently noticed that when I click "Check mail" it spends quite
some time on "Maildirs".  So I thought that this bogus account might be the
cause.  So I deleted it.

Big mistake.  Kontact crashed.  When I got it going again, pretty much
every mail item I had ever received was marked as unread.  All my accounts
had lost connection to their standard folders.  And now I am unable to send
an email.  It ends up in the Outbox folder, but refuses to budge.  If I
choose "Send queued messages" nothing happens.  No little timer line at the
bottom right, no error message, nothing.

How can I fix?

I'm using kde Platform Version 4.7.4 (4.7.4) "release 13" on openSUSE 12.1,
kontact version 4.7.4, with kmail version kmail-4.7.4-8.4.x86_64.
