My reply to Mark seems to have got lost :-( I did install the
packages, but haven't had any success so far (in Mageia, that is - I
haven't tried it in OpenSUSE yet). Is there any instructions anywhere
of how to use this? For instance, what resource type/calendar type
should I select (I'm away from Mageia at the moment, so can't remember
the exact naming). So far my efforts have been less successful than
the DAV method - I don't even get any result from Fetch at all.

It would be really nice to have this. Like you, I have my calendar on
my Android phone, and Thunderbird also handles it nicely. I just
would like to get back to Kontact.
