KNotes keep the notes "in kontact" if you enable the module and can be 
used "breakout" as well. KJots are, as you say, notebooks and a bit 
different. I feel there is little development on KJots (or at least not 
visible) and Basket is not quite "there yet" and integrated w Kontact so 
still use KNotes for - well notes. And Zim wiki for more "complicated" 
memory stuff
