Hmm. There's neither ~/.kde/config/akonadi nor ~/.local/akonadi (at 
least, on my system). The latter is probably ~/.local/share/akonadi. I 
have no what the former is supposed to be.

Another thing: Make sure that you also stop akonadi (with 'akonadictl 
stop') before deleting everything.

Anyway, those are rather drastic measures. At the moment they might not 
cause any damage, but as soon as KMail has been ported to Akonadi you 
will lose data (e.g. the information whether you have replied to a 
message) if you remove ~/.local/share/akonadi.
