[kdepim-users] KPilot freezes when trying to set configuration

Hello all,

I'm new to the mailing list, so please bear with me if this is an incredibly stupid question...

I'm running OpenSUSE 11.2 KDE and would love to sync my old Palm Pilot with KOrganizer. Specifically, I would like to sync my calender and reminders that I set up on the computer so that I can see them in my Palm Pilot... And optimally I'd like to be able to able to take changes to my schedule that I type into my Palm Pilot and have them show up with reminders, etc. in KOrganizer.

All good and fine. Now I've downloaded KPilot from the OpenSUSE repositories and it tries desperately to connect to my Palm Pilot port. I haven't even got to the point of connecting my Palm to the computer yet, however; when I open up the configuration GUI I can see and modify all of the options under "General Setup," but as soon as I click on "Calender" under "Conduits" the thing freezes up and I can't close the GUI before. It doesn't matter if I just click on it in order to see the options or in order to activate it straight away - it just doesn't work. I can't see the options. But that's the most important part of the application that I need.

Although the configuration dialog is frozen, KPilot continues valiantly to try to connect to my Palm Pilot in the background.

Oh, by the way - I'm able to see and modify the Conduit settings for "Install Files," "Time Synchronization" and "Memo File."

Anybody have some tips? I'd be extremely grateful!

Best,
Daniel
