[kdepim-users] Problem with knode

I'm having a problem with posting the occasional usenet news message, using
knode. It seems to be restricted to certain threads on one newsgroup. It has
always been the same newsgroup, but the thread has not been the same. I've
experienced it two times now.

The symptoms are that I try to reply to a message. Up to the point at which I
press "send" all is ok. When I press send, after a second, I get an error
message that states

"Could not write to file news.individual.net"

(news.individual.net is the example news server I tend to use). The problem is
duplicated if I then try to use a different news server, but with that server
name in the above error message.

Short of uninstalling, clearing out residual stuff, and then reinstalling
knode (which is what cured it the first time), has anyone else experienced
this problem, and do they have a less radical way of curing it? Any
suggestions? Many thanks.
