Yeah, I like and use this feature myself with my gmail account. It is useful 
if you are away from your KMail and need to send something. Then next time you 
use KMail, the sent mail is collected and can be moved to your sent mail 
folder. I like to keep records of all my sent mail!

No, because it is automatically saved in your sent mail folder in KMail.

Maybe this is just some AI. If you send yourself an email, then do you also 
need a copy of the sent mail? :-)
