Yes, the option to set is on the first page of Settings > Configure KMail >
Accounts - right under the box that lists your accounts. But it does concern
all the accounts listed.
If you want to exclude an account, for instance a Roaming account for when you
are away from home, you must disable 'Include in manual checking'. You will
then have to specifically call it when you need it.
