[kdepim-users] *bold*, _underlined_, /italic/: how to turn off?

Hi,

Apparently KMail interprets asterisks, underscores and slashes as *bold*, 
_underlined_, /italic/ delimiters. This can get in the way when writing 
something like “look for files matching *release* under /etc/”.

How can this be turned off?
