Of course there is a point, but I agree that a little feed-back might help.
There are several reasons why a bug may seem to get no attention. The first,
obvious one, is lack of man-power. That aside, some bugs could not be fixed,
for technical reasons, in a KDE3 background. Then, because of the problems
with the old system all efforts were put into making it work with KDE4, where
it was felt that many problems either would not occur or would be capable of
resolution.
I understand your pain, but please do continue to report bugs. It's my guess
that some of the old bugs will just have to be closed once migration to KDE4
is complete, but others that still have relevance to new systems will be
continued and stand a better chance of being resolved.
Just my understanding, of course.
