[kdepim-users] my kmail on KDE 4.2 crashes when accessing mail

'kmail --help' will tell you 'kmail --composer'. ;-)

You can also copy the debug info and send it with Thunderbird.

I have fixed a crash that occurred when opening an IMAP folder. KDE 4.2 
does contain this fix. I'm not aware of other crashes.
