[kdepim-users] Index file mystery

One folder, my CentOS folder, is no longer indexed correctly. It started
yesterday, when it kept telling me that I had 9 unread messages. Clicking on
the folder then showed no unread messages. Later two more messages came in,
and it showed 11 unread messages. Even though I read those messages, every
time the server is checked the (11) comes back.
Via ssh, I renamed the CentOS index files, then started up kmail. A new index
file was formed, but there also (on the server still) (11) showed, but blanked
when I clicked on the folder.
Any ideas?
Anne
