If this happens with IMAP then the following might explain this 
behavior. The information in the message list is generated from the 
message envelope we get from the IMAP server. When you click on a 
message then KMail downloads the message (obviously) and parses the 
header of the message to extract the same information. In some cases 
the information in the envelope (which is created by the IMAP server by 
parsing the message) is not identical with the information KMail 
extracts by parsing the message.

The above Date: header doesn't look weird in any way, so it shouldn't 
trigger the above behavior.
