[kdepim-users] Font and font-size in KMail v1.9.10

KMail v1.9.10 is running in KDE v3.5.10 under openSuSE 11.1.

In KMail Settings, font size for Message Body was set at 13, which was 
comfortable. A few hours ago, messages became difficult to read, because 
text size became miniscule - perhaps 6, although in the Settings notebook 
size is still shown as 13. Changing font or font-size changes nothing on 
the screen. KMail is unusable only with great difficulty.

The new situation survives closing and reopening KMail.

What do I have to do to recover?
