[kdepim-users] doubled resources

Hi, on my kubuntu system, I started kontact, and found that all new
events are doubled, same as described here:

I followed advice here:

And deleted ~/.kde/share/config/korganizerrc

I then tried to delete duplicate events, which worked.  However, when
I try to modify the remaining non-duplicates, it says they are locked
by another process.

Obviously I'm lost.  Anyone know the cause for doubled resources or
what to do?  If it was universal to kubuntu, I'd expect more search
results when I searched for "doubled resources".
