[kdepim-users] Seperate 'sets' of mail boxes

Found this under the [General] section of kmailrc config file

folders[$e]=$HOME/.kde/share/apps/kmail/mail
=====

what does the '$e' do or indicate, is it some sort of parameter that can be 
parsed ?

Just wondering if it may be some method to have seperate sets of mail boxes.
