[kdepim-users] Kmail 1.9.9 directory panel has no main text!

I suppose by "directory panel" you refer to the panel showing the folder 
list. Maybe the column showing the names of the folders is just 
extremely narrow. Have a look at the header of the folder list and try 
to resize the first column.

If that doesn't help please make a screenshot of KMail.
