Okay. So it is indeed akregator that is causing the problems. To find 
out whether your configuration causes the crash or whether there is a 
general problem with your akregator installation please create a new 
user account and try to start akregator with this account.

If you want to use Kontact without Akregator until you have solved the 
problems with Akregator then execute the following command (one line) 
in Konsole to disable Akregator in Kontact:

kwriteconfig --file $KDEHOME/share/config/kontactrc --group 
Plugins --key kontact_akregatorEnabled --type bool false
