Hmm, the Inbox should be ignored if it is not part of the local 
subscription. Some time ago I have fixed a bug with local 
unsubscription of top-level folders not taking effect.

Same as for your normal mail folders. I don't think it's a problem with 
ownership or permissions of those folders.
