[kdepim-users] Kmail Plugins?

There is a certain Thunderbird extension which has me married to that
application, as much as I would like to use Kmail. As the extension
offers a feature which would not interest many people, I do not expect
that Kmail would ever incorporate it. So I started looking into Kmail
Plugins. I see in the Settings that the only place for plugins in
Kmail is "Encryption Plugins" (translated). Can plugins for purposes
other than encryption be incorporated into Kmail? I see in an old
mailing list posting that the ability to add other plugs was expected
around KDE 3.4, but apparently that has not come to be the situation,
or has it and I'm missing it?

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
