[kdepim-users] debugging the exe filter in Kmail

Having struck out with a pipe through filter I created a test program 
that simply writes a message to a file.  It does not make use of the 
incoming file. I selected action "execute program" with an operand of 
/usr/local/mailtest/mail02

When I run an appropriate message throught the filter via <ctrl>j
it does nothing at all.   mail2 never executes.  But the second action 
on the filter, move to a folder, does execute.
