[kdepim-users] Strange data loss in Kmail

The valgrind output seems to have one or two entries that might be worth checking.

The strace is not telling much, except showing the segmentation fault

The gdb result is as feared different. Maybe a different set of emails and filters will
create a crash.

My guess is that something is writing over the execution stack and that is the reason why
no backtrace is possible after the crash. A memory dump of kmail of the crash (a core
dump) might be helpful here, but that's not something you want to post somewhere unless
you use kmail in a test environment (i.e. a separate test user account) without access to
passwords in use or your KWallet. And test emails where you have no problem with others
reading them. And test email addresses. But really, this should be done by the programmer
who debugs this, since the bug is reproducible.
