[kdepim-users] Kontact/Kmail slow with large dimap account

Hi there,

when using kontact/kmail with a large disconnected imap account (containing 
about 25,000 mails in about 100 folders), the program becomes slow and 
sluggish. Checking all folders takes a long time, and also browsing the 
calender or local addressbook is slow.
Is there any configuration which could speed kontact up? I use the same imap 
account with different computers, so it is probably necessary to check all 
folders for new mail, since mails might have been moved/deleted via the other 
computer. 
Has someone else experienced such a sluggish behaviour of kmail with large 
dimap accounts? What solutions are people on this list using?
