As suggested to assist in testing, I set up a new client system using
openSUSE 10.3 in VirtualBox. I upgraded the system to KDE 3.5.9.
I defined a VirtualBOX USB device filter to provide access to the
openSUSE guest USB ports for the Palm 700p.
The Hotsync worked well. After starting KPilot, I plugged in the Palm
and pressed the Hotsync button. After a moment or so, the Palm beeped,
and the process started and ended in a proper completion. In addition,
I could start another sync with no problems.
I did not have this success with KDE 3.5.7.
I have attached the start of the log which contains several error messages.
Let me know if you need anything further... Tom.
