SUMMARY
Message contents not rendered in the UI, but invisible text can be selected and
copy-pasted or dragged. KMail UI does not render the contents, though

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open KMail
2. Click on a message in the list
3. Try to read message contents

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing renders on screen.

EXPECTED RESULT
Message renders on screen.

Changing UI layout makes no change.

Starting Kmail from command line, I see the following:

org.kde.pim.pimcommonactivities: Plasma activities is not running:  1
kf.windowsystem: KWindowInfo is only functional when running on X11
Backend texture is not a Vulkan texture.
Compositor returned null texture
