STEPS TO REPRODUCE

- Open KOrganizer and switch to the Week (or Day) view.

- Try to hide or collapse hours you rarely use (e.g., overnight).

- Check Settings > Configure KOrganizer > Views >Agenda/Work Time for an option
to hide hours.

OBSERVED RESULT
There is no way to hide or collapse arbitrary hours. The timeline always shows
the full 24-hour day. “Work time” can be highlighted but not actually
removed/collapsed from the view, which wastes vertical space and requires
unnecessary scrolling.

EXPECTED RESULT
Provide a feature to hide or collapse one or more user-defined hour ranges in
Week/Day view. Examples:

Single range: 00:00–06:00

Multiple ranges: 00:00–06:00 and 22:00–24:00

When hours are hidden:

The view reflows so visible hours get more space (denser, easier to scan).

A thin “collapsed hours” bar indicates the hidden range (e.g., “00:00–06:00
hidden”), clickable to temporarily expand.

Events within hidden ranges remain discoverable: show a badge/indicator on the
collapsed bar (e.g., event count) and surface them in the agenda pane/summary.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Configuration ideas: a “Hide hours” control with add/remove ranges (and presets
like “Hide early morning,” “Hide late night”); quick toggle in toolbar/context
menu (“Show full day / Collapse hidden hours”).

Printing/export: optional “Respect hidden hours” checkbox.

Accessibility: collapsed bars should be keyboard-focusable and screen-reader
labeled.

Edge cases: handle DST transitions cleanly; all-day events unaffected.
