Experiencing the same bug. Also on neon with the same software versions.

There has been an update to kmail since it first happened, but that did not fix
the issue (currently on 4:25.08.0-0zneon+24.04+noble+release+build39).

Same problem when viewing messages via akonadiconsole.

"View Source" output looks ok.

I vote for increasing importance, as this makes kmail pretty much useless.
