After some extended testing, it appears that other applications are also having
trouble accessing my calendar, e.g. vdirsyncer.

KOrganizer could be more robust when handling calendar files since other
applications, such as Thunderbird, can sync correctly.
However, it appears that there is something wrong with either my calendar or
the way the provider is serving the CalDAV interface.
Therefore, I am closing this issue since it is not really a bug in KOrganizer
itself.
