I experience this quite often with the KMail viewer. Note that I don't use
KMail currently as an Inbox, just to read .eml files. I believe this is why it
crashes. Changes to the combined menubar also seem to precipitate crashes. I
tried to include as much debug info as possible as I haven't nailed down exact
cause.
The crash can be reproduced sometimes.
