Sample mail message
SUMMARY
I receive delivery updates from a Dutch transporter (PostNL) when I order
something online and they are the shipping company. When I select their mails
in the list view (well, one at the time obviously) the will not be rendered.
Where should be the contents of the message is just a blank screen.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Be sure to have a message from PostNL in your inbox
2. Click on the message in the message list
3. Alternatively, double-click the message to open it in a separate window
OBSERVED RESULT
Regardless of how you open the mail, the contents field will be blank. The
headers are presentend, but not the body of the mail.
EXPECTED RESULT
The mail to be presented, just like the other mails I receive.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Fedora Linux 39
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.11
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.116.0
Qt Version: 5.15.14
Kernel Version: 6.10.12-100.fc39.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: offscreen
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030/PCIe/SSE2
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
If you look at the message source, you can see this is a multi-part mime
message. There is a text/plain and a text/html part. If I tweak the settings of
kmail to prefer the text/plain part, that is displayed properly. However when I
configure it to prefer text/html, the content widget is blank.
I have attached a sample message.
