While I did have up to several minute delays with POP3 mail retrieval up to
KDEPIM / Akonadi 22.12 with PostgreSQL database backend and I think also still
with KDEPIM / Akonadi  24.08 and PostgreSQL, the delays are completely gone
with Akonadi 24.08 and SQLite3 database backend. I am not completely sure about
KDEPIM / Akonadi 24.08 with PostgreSQL as I only used it briefly, but I think I
still have seen delays there.

So maybe the issue of the delays seems database related?
