Bug ID: 488933
Summary: Email received without a date sorted under "December
1969"
Classification: Applications
Product: kmail2
Version: 6.1.1
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: message list
Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
Reporter: mullein at adelie.io
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
I received an email today that was grouped under "December 1969". The sorting
selected for my inbox is "Date/Time". The email that was received apparently
was missing the "Date: " part of the message header.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Receive an email with a bad or missing date.
EXPECTED RESULT
Some mail clients (like Thunderbird) seem to handle this sort of issue
correctly. Perhaps Kmail should sort by date received in the event that the
"Date: " part of the email header is missing.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Gentoo Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0
Qt Version: 6.7.1
