I assume you would need to install the flatpak version of Kontact, but I don't
use that so I don't know.

Also of note I encountered this issue in the latest version of the flatpak so
I've downgraded to the version I was using last time via this command:

sudo flatpak update
--commit=9f6169096fcc17ed167fcf8da15e4675438d204ef9035c9f8fb24958be28f02f
org.kde.akregator
