I'm sorry, in my implementation kontact/kmail doesn't have these functions.
I have openSUSE 15.3 :
kmail-20.04.2-bp153.3.2.1.x86_64

I can only create task, and if I drag the message under calendar it creates a
entry in calendar but with only
akonadi:?item=1363227&type=message/rfc822&parent=34 or similar as subject.

Probably I have only to wait new packages...
