After another package refresh to 20210601 and a reboot, EWS is operating
correctly.

A minor nitpick: kmail loast all filters during transition from an imap based
O365 access to EWS.

Other than that, I'm a happy kmail camper again.. 
(and being this since about 20 years right now).
