I can't reproduce this with KOrganizer 5.18.0 and a recent version of
Nextcloud.

Note that the Folder Properties dialogs of the calendar and of its folders has
a "Block reminders locally" checkbox that would keep you from seeing the
reminder.

Could you try this again and see whether the problem went away?
