SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a new message (Rich/HTML format).
2. Type ";-)" or ":-)" or ... in text, then send.
3. Reciepient gets this as smiley/plain text -- not automatically converted!

OBSERVED RESULT

Recipient sees simple smiley as typed!

EXPECTED RESULT

Recipient expects smiley replaced by colored emoji!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This worked perfectly in earlier versions, with the colored emojis in Breeze
style!
Only workaround: add an emoji from "Add Smiley" in the toolbar once emojis are
installed. By default, these are only black/white, one has to add manually
colored emojics (another nuisance). All that was never necessary in earlier
versions of KDE/Kmail (and is not the expected state-of-the art behaviour).
