SUMMARY

If you add a special character after your name e.g. "." or "," in your identity
setup, kmail removes the "from field" when you use the reply function. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. add a special character in your identity setup 
2. use that id and click "reply"
3. the "from field" goes away
