The problem seems broader than kmail/kontact I feel. The other day when I
opened an upload dialog from Firefox to select a file it looked ok until I
moved the cursor. Same sort of garbled window and no possibility to work.

It is becoming quite cumbersome to have to unplug my display to be able to read
mail. Is there a way to know if this has actually been picked up already?
