The machine doesn't even need to be off - it just needs to be offline.
Example: you're on a flight, another user adds a CalDAV event with a reminder
set 1hr in the future. You land 2hrs later, connect to the internet, the event
is synced. But you never see a reminder because by the time it synced, it was
1hour in the past.
Actually missed an important event as a result of this.
Considering it was reported more than six and a half years ago, is it safe to
assume it won't be fixed? It does seem like a pretty big issue - as if you
can't trust reminders to be accurate unless your machine is online & connected
24x7, how can you rely on them for scheduling?
