I can reproduce this on current master.

This seems to occur at least with the column combinations:
* Date + Most recent date
* Date + Size
* Most recent date + Size.

Where the right one seems to expand slightly and "swallow" a bit of the left
one.

The message list theme is required to be Classic, as Smart does not have
columns.

It's more easily reproducible by using the default keyboard shortcuts for
switching between folders (Ctrl+Left/Right).
