Thank you, very much, for your suggestion on the icon theme. Once I changed the
icon theme from 'nuoveXT.2.2' to something more general like 'Oxygen', the
icons in Kontact displayed correctly. Such a simple solution. And now I know
that the 'nuoveXT.2.2' icon theme is what may be broken, and not Kontact.
