Personally I've given up on KMail due to the kind of user-hostile attitudes by
developers showcased in this bug report. I'm not the first KDE dev to say this
either, and I hear it from users all the time.

Ultimately KMail can adapt to the desires of its users, or its userbase can
shrink to be just the Kmail developers. That's really all there is to it.
