Making everything configurable does not remove the responsibility to set
appropriate defaults. Keep in mind "Simple by default, powerful when needed".

All right, for the multiple email case, maybe it should just bring KMail to the
front without highlighting any particular email.

That's out of sync with what every other app does though. The KDE community has
voted for Consistency. This kind of thing is important to our users. We need to
keep that in mind.
