dpkg-reconfigure is a debian-like tool to reconfigure *system* files, not user
settings, this has nothing to do with KMail.

now we have no idea what you want and what you did because of the lack of
clarity in your bug report.

Instead of using words such as 'stupid', please describe what you tried, where
you clicked and what happened.
